On Thursday, March 2, 2017, at 5:00 pm EST (4:00 p.m. CST), you are invited to join the live-stream of an ecumenical service of common prayer in commemoration of the 500th anniversary of the Reformation. Bishop Sally Dyck of the Northern Illinois Annual Conference will be representing The United Methodist Church at the prayer service.  The service will be co-hosted by the Evangelical Lutheran Church of America, Conference of Bishops’ Ecumenical and Inter-Religious Liaison Committee, and the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops’ Ecumenical and Interreligious Affairs Committee. It will follow the Common Prayer liturgical guide, developed for the joint ecumenical commemoration held in Lund, Sweden, last October 31.  As we pray, we will confess our brokenness and renew our commitments to reconciling the body of Christ.  You can view the live-stream online at http://www.elca.org/webcast.
