The United Methodist Ecumenical and Interreligious Training is coming to Louisville, Kentucky, April 18-21, 2016, as part of the National Workshop on Christian Unity (NWCU).

What is UMEIT?

UMEIT is the United Methodist Ecumenical and Interreligious Training ministry of the Council of Bishops’ Office of Christian Unity and Interreligious Relationships (OCUIR). It is composed of laity and clergy of The UMC who are passionate about the work of ecumenical and interreligious ministry.

UMEIT exists in several forms, including: UMEIT USA, UMEIT Young Adult Network and various UMEIT branches around the world. UMEIT USA holds its annual gathering parallel to the National Workshop on Christian Unity (NWCU). Meeting in a different city every year, UMEIT USA welcomes new participants in its fellowship, worship, study and conversation.

What is NWCU?

NWCU is the National Workshop on Christian Unity, an independent, annual training lead by representatives from several Christian denominations in the U.S. It is an opportunity for believers from various faith traditions to network and learn.
